WHAT'S UP
I would like to introduce to you a new member. Her name is Sylvie St-Jacques. I have known Sylvie for a very long time and she has always been a very busy person with her two children, her husband, her business (Sylvie gets up at 4h30 a.m. every morning to go to Montreal) and her horses. If she can find time to workout, then so can you! After several attempts at trying to get rid of some excess body weight and fat, on her own, Sylvie decided to finally come see me. She is happy to report that she has shed 6 lbs and has also been able to fit back into some clothes she thought were gone forever. Her entourage has also noticed her body changing. Best of all, it’s not the amount of weight that Sylvie has gotten rid of, but mostly, she has made some significant body composition changes due to her increase lean muscle mass and the decrease of her body fat from 20% to 15%. That is quit significant!!
Thank you Sylvie for your Energy, your enthusiasm and your strength of character for wanting to try something different. Keep up the good work Sylvie because you are definitely on your way.
WHAT'S INTERESTING
About nutrition… What to eat, when, what time and how much??? These are all good questions especially considering you are training and want to do the best for your body for maximum results, right?
Among my many number of years in the fitness industry, I’ve always considered the importance of nutrition and supplementation along with weight training. I’ve found a lot of misinformation out there, but I’ve deciphered through it and this is what I came up with;
Wheat has only really been introduced to us during the Neolithic period of 8000 A.D. and 6000 A.D. where minimal beginnings as the grain harvesting was restraint to wheat, millet and spelt. That being said, not so long ago, grains were not a part of our dietary lifestyles, considering we used to live only on animal protein, plants and wild berries. The Paleonthologist diet. There is actually a book on the market that talks about this diet ! it is called The Paleo diet for athletes… interesting read!
Today, human beings are a lot more sedentary then the Paleo. Age. With today’s technological advances, we have to move a lot less to get more done. The other culprits in our lives are the HUGE super markets packed with sugar laced chemical concoctions that your system does not need, so top that off with lack of exercise and you have a recipe for disaster.
Statistics also show that 70% + of the population does not assimilate carbohydrates well, stocking their bodies with sugar. That means that when this group consumes pastas, bread, cakes, crackers, to name a few, that food increases their insulin in their blood and therefore, you pancreas goes into overdrive to get rid of the excess sugar in your blood and stocks for later use as fuel for energy.
Besides not being very well assimilated by your body, these carbohydrates will not give you the essential nutrients necessary for building lean muscle mass. Only protein can do that!! It would be like building a house without a foundation. Imagine that on the long run… Not a fruitful project.
The fact that you are putting on more lean muscle mass on your body will only ward off a lot of ailments and eventual degenerative disease such as diabetes and osteoporosis, to name but tow. You will also be missing a very important element found in red meat called vitamin B complex. This essential nutrient helps restore and balance out your nervous system, and helps you cope with stress.
The wining formula is to stick to eating clean and stay away from any refined sugars.

THE KILLING OF ALMONDS... A NATURAL SNACK BEING BUTCHERED BY PASTERIZATION!!

http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/
A new law being pushed in Canada by Big Pharma seeks to outlaw up to 60 percent of natural health products currently sold in Canada, even while criminalizing parents who give herbs or supplements to their children. The law, known as C-51, was introduced by the Canadian Minister of Health on April 8th, 2008, and it proposes sweeping changes to Canada's Food and Drugs Act that could have devastating consequences on the health products industry.
