SUMMER SURPRISE

 

Hi, my name is Jeff Clarke. I'm  21 yrs old and last hockey season I played for the University of Ottawa. I've been playing hockey most of my life and my dream as must kids growing up in Quebec is to play in the NHL. This summer I just signed my first professional hockey contract with the European league. At the end of the summer I'll be off to Spain playing the game I love.

My game is solid, fundamentally strong, and I'm extremely quick on my skates. Unfortunately I need to add size to my body frame. My objective is simple. I need to add at least 10-15 pounds of mass and increase my strength by 20 percent.

At the beginning of the summer my weight was 165 lbs. and my best performance under the bench press was 165lbs and I can not squat to save my life.  Several people told me to visit the Fitness Factory because it's a result orientated gym and they are the only gym up north that guarantees result or your money back.  

I signed up for a three month VIP program and the results speak for themselves.  As you read this newsletter, their was  two weeks left on my training program and I had approximately three weeks before I fly to Spain and begin training camp. My stats are as follows. I now weight 180lbs. My max bench press is over 210 lbs and I can squat (ass to the floor) over 210 lbs, six times. WHAT’S UP 

A few years ago I decided to never eat genetically modified food (GMO). The decision changed my life in so many ways.  First of all, I buy organic food directly from local organic farmers. There is a certain connection to nature that is absent at the big grocery super markets. Not to mention that visiting local organic farmers’ markets, discussing with the (actually) farmers on how they actually grow and process their food is extremely educational. Another decision I made was to quit going out to restaurants because I could not find one that did not serve genetically modified food.

A few days ago a client told me that St-Adele has a wonderful organic restaurant called A L’EXPRESS GOURMAND. All I can say is that this was one of the greatest dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.  

The restaurant is owned and operated by a wonderful couple. They are on a first name basis with all their customers.

Didier is the genius in the kitchen. His attention to detail is amazing.  Vivianne is the social butterfly and makes sure all of her customers are well taken care of. Didier and his wife personally buy all the ingredients from local Quebec organic farms and farmers markets.  They often get shrimp, lobster, and fish brought in from Les Iles de la Madeleine.  The food is prepared in the morning and slowed-cooked through out the day.  The dishes contain all-natural, free-range meats and poultry. The focus here is on health and organic ingredients. The deserts are homemade, all natural, and delicious. Their wine list contains several organic choices. If you never tasted organic wine, ask Viviane to select the right bottle.

The restaurant is small and cozy. Vivianne creates a warm friendly relaxed atmosphere. You have the option to either sit inside or outside on the terrace. Call to find out what is on their organic menu. Also book a reservation because seating is limited. Finally, a restaurant that provides a wonderful dinning experience with food that isn’t genetically modified.
