In my opinion:
Hi, my name is Eric Hamelin.
I’ve always enjoyed riding my bike and competing in local and regional races. My performance was good, but I wanted to do better. I felt like I had hit a brick wall and my performance had plateaued. In order to break that plateau, I decided to strength train during the off-season. Results were my only consideration. A friend told me that if I wanted results, I should go to the Fitness Factory. I was impressed with their approach. They put me through a series of tests to find my weak areas. The tests revealed left and right leg imbalances and that my pedal power position needed correcting and my quadriceps/hamstring ratio needed to be rebalanced. Next, a program was designed to address those specific needs and build up my endurance. Within several weeks, there was a noticeable improvement. The off-season strength training was the key factor in turning my performance around. I balanced and improved my leg strength, fixed my weaknesses, and improved my endurance capability for road racing.

Last winter I competed in the Fitness Factory Indoor Computrainer Winter Bike Tournament. I was curious to see if my cardio endurance and hill climbing speed had improved. The tournament course was 20 km long. Over the course of the tournament. I managed to decrease my time by three minutes, which enabled me to place second over all in the tournament.

If you're like me and enjoy mountain biking or road racing, then check out the Fitness Factory Annual Winter Indoor Bike Tournament. The experience was a blast. The friendly atmosphere at Fitness Factory made my training sessions very motivating.
Sincerely,
Eric Hamelin |
